Experience a day in Costa Rica’s wildest national park

You start early in Uvita and head by speedboat along the wild Pacific coast to Corcovado. Already during the crossing you immerse yourself in the spectacle of the rich wildlife and enjoy the panorama of green coastline and rolling waves. Corcovado National Park is considered the wildest and most fascinating rainforest in Costa Rica – this is where the heart of nature still beats unspoilt.

After about 1.5 hours you reach San Pedrillo (ranger station in the park) and hike along narrow trails through dense primary rainforest. Giant trees, loud birdsong and the calls of howler monkeys accompany you. The hikes lead you to river courses, past monkeys, sloths, Nasua and with a bit of luck even tapirs. At midday an easy picnic awaits you against the backdrop of the vast jungle horizon before you explore another stretch of wilderness on foot, possibly with a refreshing bathing break in the river.
