Bloubergstrand offers you one of South Africa’s most iconic views: in front of you stretches the white sandy beach, while the skyline of the City Bowl, mighty Table Mountain and distinctive Lion’s Head rise on the horizon. The fresh Atlantic breeze and the sound of the waves make this walk a special experience.

The wide, expansive beach is ideal for a relaxed walk barefoot in the sand. You can watch kitesurfers gliding over the waves and seagulls circling above the sea. Especially in the evening, the setting sun bathes the scene in spectacular light – perfect for impressive photos.

Bloubergstrand is about 20 minutes north of Cape Town and is easy to reach by car or Uber. The best time for a walk is early in the morning or just before sunset, when the light conditions make the view of Table Mountain particularly impressive. In the nearby cafés you can round off your walk with a coffee or fresh seafood.
