Watch jumps from the highest bungee bridge in the world

Bloukrans Bridge is not only a technical masterpiece – it is also the stage for one of the most extreme tests of courage on the Garden Route: a bungee jump from a height of 216 metres. Even if you do not want to jump yourself, you can still be there – as a spectator. And that is surprisingly intense.

From the viewpoint you have an unobstructed view of the sweeping bridge structure and the deeply cut valley of the Bloukrans River. Again and again someone steps onto the platform, hesitates briefly – and then plunges head first into the depths. The moment of free fall is quiet, brief and powerful. The cheers afterwards echo through the gorge.

If you want to get closer, you can also book the “Sky Walk” tour across the bridge – safely on a metal grid walkway directly above the abyss. But even from the viewpoint you experience this place in all its drama: engineering, nature and adrenaline in a single picture.
